Thailand is a popular stop for backpackers and travellers on lower budgets. Small, low priced, guesthouses are ideal accommodation to suit and Pattaya has its share of this type of room. Although priced lower than hotels, the amenities in guest houses are often surprisingly good. The rooms are clean, well furnished and often include in room bathroom. One can choose from air conditioned bedroom or fan, which is cheaper. Guest Houses will provide a restaurant, albeit often small with a limited selection, and many often gardens and even swimming pools.
